I grew up in the world of competitive gymnastics and cheerleading - always fascinated by movement. I completed a science degree in university with the intention of going to medical school.
I’ve also always wanted to heal people. Well, med school never happened but I did spend nearly a decade in an unfulfilling, high-stress corporate job. I took my first yoga class to deal with the stress and sense of unease in my life. That’s where my story really started.
The practice shifted imbalances in my body, but the shift the practice created in my mindset is what changed my life forever. I was becoming self-aware. I identified limiting beliefs and finally understood I wasn’t living my dream so I pursued my first teacher training. I have since held thousands of public classes, helped develop teacher trainings, hosted international retreats, facilitated several workshops, and have taken more teacher trainings myself.
I am recognized for accessible and anatomically-based cueing combined with authentic and empowering presence. Students can expect my whole self - who I am on the mat is who I am off the mat. The time on your mat is a time of self-study, revealing patterns of thinking and being. Once identified these patterns can be unlearned and we can live from a truer, more conscious place.
I’m now living my dream, combining my passions for movement and healing. I can help you find ways to explore how you move and become more embodied, cultivate consciousness to help you reconnect with your inner child and true self, and empower you on your journey of self-study.
